Founded in 1643, Cire Trudon is the oldest Candlemaker in the world still active today. Throughout the 17th century, the manufacturer became the Royal Wax Manufacturer and official supplier in the French court including Louis XIV then to Napoléon Bonaparte.
Replicating the 7-meter high monumental sculpture by François Girardon (1699), the ‘Louis XIV à cheval’. An iconic royal figure and messenger of “l’art à la française”, Louis XIV now looks over Cire Trudon’s collection of busts.
